2005 KC HiLiTES Midnight Special
El Dorado Valley, Nevada, August 5th - 7th
KC HiLiTES is proud to be the title sponsor of SNORE’s Midnight
Special off-road race. KC has partnered with SNORE to present this
annual event since the mid 1970s. “From our famous shock
mounted Daylighters to our night piercing HID lights, off-road
racing has always been the ultimate proving grounds for the development
of our products,” stated Michael DeHaas, President/CEO of
KC HiLiTES. “We are extremely pleased to be involved with
SNORE and excited to support the Midnight Special and participating
racers.”
For this year’s event, the city of Boulder City, Nevada
rolled out the red carpet for the racers. They closed down Nevada
Blvd. on Friday, August 5th to host contingency and tech inspection
along with live entertainment. And with many restaurants, lounges
and shops located nearby, there was something for everyone.
KC factory personnel was on hand to speak to and showed off our
awesome project vehicles, including a Hemi powered 2004 Wrangler
Unlimited. This was truly a special event for KC HiLiTES, SNORE,
the racers and the people who attended. We would like to give special
thanks to Jamie Fagan of SNORE and to Boulder City for providing
this spectacular event, to Donahoe Racing and Jim Conner Racing
for displaying with us during contingency, and to Curt LeDuc for
coming out to join in on some great racing.
